Job Overview
We are looking for a full-time Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with expertise in pediatric care, school-based interventions, and behavior therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a commitment to evidence-based practices. This role involves working closely with children, families, and educational professionals to develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans for clients.
- Implement and oversee ABA therapy programs for children with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans across various settings.
- Provide ongoing training and support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other team members.
- Monitor client progress and make data-driven decisions to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with families and stakeholders to discuss treatment outcomes and goals.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment reports.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in ABA and behavior therapy.
- Advocate for clients' needs within school systems and other relevant settings.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for parents, educators, and other professionals on behavior management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and other relevant professional standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current and valid License as a Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of practice
- Experience working in pediatric and/or school settings
- Proficiency in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and evidence-based practices in behavior therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and behavior data collection software
Preferred:
- Experience in supervising and mentoring
