Autocad Designer

Oxford Solutions has a contract-to-hire opportunity for an AutoCAD Drafter. This role is ideal for someone early in their career or nearing graduation from a drafting or architectural technology program who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, production-focused environment. The position works closely with both office and warehouse teams to support design and fabrication efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Create and revise detailed drawings using AutoCAD
• Interpret sketches, markups, and verbal instructions to produce accurate technical drawings
• Update existing drawings and ensure all revisions are properly documented
• Support engineers and internal teams with design and construction documentation
• Prepare and manage PDF documents using Adobe and related tools
• Maintain organized files and documentation within shared systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure drawings align with production needs
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and within project timelines

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Architectural/AutoCAD Technology or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience (internships, coursework, or co-op experience considered)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD required
• Familiarity with Adobe tools (PDF creation, editing, document management)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer systems
• Exposure to woodworking, fabrication, or assembly environments is a strong plus
• Understanding of geometric tolerances is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
