Position: Assistant Director
Location: Powder Springs, GA
Shift: Full-time ( 9am - 6pm)
Compensation: Up to $16 per hour, with 5 days of vacation and holiday pay

Key Responsibilities:
- CAPS and Pre-K Paperwork: Manage and maintain all necessary documentation—this is a critical part of the role.
- Marketing: Student Enrollment and marketing
- Record-Keeping: Ensure all records are accurately maintained.
- Food Program Management: Oversee and document the food menu and food program.
- Tours & Enrollment: Conduct tours and provide prospective families with information about our program.
- Field Trips: Plan and coordinate educational field trips.
- Staff Support: Assist staff with developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood Education.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Closing Duties: Supervise closing staff and secure the building each day.
- Behavior Management: Assist teachers in managing classroom behavior.
- Classroom Support: Act as a substitute in classrooms when needed (ages 0-12).
- Teacher Monitoring: Ensure schedules and lesson plans are followed consistently.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Have a clear understanding of Bright from the Start childcare rules and regulations.
- Additional Support: Assist children who may need extra attention.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of school supplies.
- Communication: Maintain excellent communication with staff and parents, and keep the Director informed of any issues regarding child care and safety.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in a childcare center is required.
- Office/Admin Experience: Some office or administrative experience is preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check.
- Health Physical: A recent health physical is required.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude are essential. Must be comfortable working with all preschool age groups.
