This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, early-career accounting professional who is eager to build a strong foundation across multiple areas of accounting while supporting a diverse portfolio of small business clients. This is a full-time, on-site position based in either Spring, TX or Raleigh, NC.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
• Support day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of small business clients across various
industries
• Assist with monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Analyze transactional data and identify discrepancies or areas requiring follow-up
• Assist in preparing financial reports through collection and organization of financial data
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
• Assist with AP processing including coding invoices, payment processing, and vendor
communications
• Support AR functions including invoicing, cash application, deposits, and collections follow-up
• Ensure transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner
Payroll Support
• Assist with processing payroll for a diverse client base
• Support payroll reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies
• Respond to basic payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees
Tax & Compliance Support
• Assist with tax preparation support and organization of client financial data
• Perform basic data entry and support work related to federal and state tax filings
• Support the team in meeting filing deadlines and maintaining organized documentation
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, public
accounting, or corporate accounting
• Internship, part-time, or early professional experience working with accrual-based accounting
strongly preferred
• Exposure to public accounting environments or accrual-based clients is highly desirable
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Foundational understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting concepts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-service mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to commute to and work on-site at the Spring, TX or Raleigh, NC office
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
