We are searching for an enthusiastic Accounting Professional to join the Leggett Ventures team as a staff accountant. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, accounts receivables/payables, accruals and prepaid entries, reconciliation support, and intercompany transactions for multiple entities and portfolio companies.
Responsibilities Include:
· Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, coding, and payment tracking
· Manage expense tracking, credit card activity, and receipt documentation
· Maintain bank and credit card feeds within QuickBooks Online
· Record daily accounting transactions including incoming and outgoing payments (rent, vendor payments, loan interest, invoices, etc.)
· Assist with monthly reconciliations
· Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepaids
· Support monthly allocations and intercompany transactions
· Assist with cash tracking and basic cash flow reporting
· Assist with annual 1099 reporting and property tax documentation
· Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
· Work effectively across multiple entities and priorities
· Collaborate closely with internal team members
· Maintain accurate records and strong attention to detail
· Follow company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
- 2 Years of accounting experience
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and a strong communicator.
- Tech savvy individual who is willing to jump into different systems and technologies to streamline accounting functions.
- Capable of jumping between tasks ensuring all items are finished effectively and efficiently.
- Integrity and commitment to maintaining high confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for dedication to learning and growth is highly expected.
