We are searching for an enthusiastic Accounting Professional to join the Leggett Ventures team as our Controller. Responsibilities include managing the accounting department (currently two senior accounting specialists and a staff accountant that report to this role) and overseeing all daily accounting operations for multiple entities and portfolio companies. 

Responsibilities Include:

Oversee all accounting operations, software and systems as well as accounting personnel.

• Assist leadership with creating company-wide automations, standards and procedures that enhance accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly GAAP compliant financial statements with footnotes for 20 SEC regulated audited entities.
• Assist COO and other managing partners with audits of SEC regulated entities.
• Create and Manage cash forecasts for multiple operating entities.
• Manage and track all debt servicing and bank reporting requirements.
• Assist Senior Accountants and third-party accounting firm with tax return preparations.
• Assist with capital calls, distributions, fair market valuations and opening/closing procedures for entities.
• Oversee the entire firm’s accounting eco-system. 

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance Required, CPA Required.
• 8-10 Years of accounting experience; previous management experience required.
• Compliance with GAAP standards required, basic tax knowledge preferred.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and a strong communicator.
• Tech savvy individual who is willing to jump into different systems and technologies to streamline accounting functions.
• Capable of jumping between tasks and managing team members' workloads, ensuring all items are finished effectively and efficiently.
• Integrity and commitment to maintaining high confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Ability to meet and exceed deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for dedication to learning and growth is highly expected.
