We are currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting firm with offices throughout the Northeast.
Responsibilities
This role will focus primarily on bridge and transportation-related structural engineering projects, while also providing exposure to a broader range of structural work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures
- Lead design efforts on simple to moderately complex assignments
- Assist with bridge inspections and site investigations to document existing conditions
- Perform site inspections for projects engineered by the office
- Complete and review structural calculations
- Assist in preparing drawings and specifications
- Support construction administration efforts by providing technical solutions during construction
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and architectural staff
- Contribute to projects from initial investigation and design through construction completion
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 7–15 years of related structural engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in New Jersey; New York PE is a plus
- Bridge inspection experience and certification preferred
- Familiarity with NJDOT and/or NYCDOT, NYSDOT standards preferred
- Strong understanding and application of structural design codes
- Experience using structural analysis software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- AutoCAD experience required; Revit experience is a plus
- Interest in developing a well-rounded structural engineering background within transportation and infrastructure projects
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
