Manufacturing Engineer
Owen Daniels are currently supporting an privately owned Aerospace machining business in the Akron, OH area. They have had continued success in the sector for over 50 years and are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to be focused on machining operations.
This is a hands on process engineering role focused on New Product Introduction (NPI) within an established machining value stream.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead NPI of new products into the machining cell
- Program 4/5-axis CNC machines using Mastercam (with Vericut simulation)
- Design fixtures, tooling, and workholding to support new and existing parts
- Run first-offs, debug processes, and develop clear work instructions for operators
- Drive continuous improvement, cost-down, and cycle time reductions
- Act as the manufacturing point of contact
- Mentor junior process engineers and support the production floor day-to-day
Essential/Desirable Experience Required
- 5–10 years' manufacturing/process engineering experience in a machining environment
- Strong Mastercam programming skills, ideally with multi-axis (4/5 axis) experience
- Fixture and tooling design experience (2D/3D CAD)
- Strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Experience introducing new parts/products into production
Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
