Production Planner
Owen Daniels is currently partnered with a world leader in aerospace technology. They are a global brand who covers the full lifecycle of aircraft components, including design, manufacturing, and in-service support. They are currently seeking a Production Planner for their MRO facility in Miami, FL.
This position would suit a Supply Chain graduate or candidate with supply chain planning experience where lead times are critical.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules and monitors products through the full production cycle to ensure production requirements are met
- Works from engineering plans and production specifications to confirm production has the necessary resources to execute on schedule
- Advises management on work-in-progress status and interfaces with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, program management, and external customers
- Ensures materials and labor are available to meet production requirements and delivery commitments
- Identifies and resolves material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions
- Establishes and maintains inventory targets, developing action plans to reduce exposure and address excess or obsolete parts
- Performs a technical lead planning role to drive improvement goals and provides SAP training to planners to ensure consistent and accurate scheduling
Essential/Desirable Experience Required
- 4- year University Degree essential
- Education or experience within supply chain/production planning is desirable
