About the Role

The Seasonal Planning Analyst plays a critical dual role within the Dickies business, sitting at the intersection of product strategy and retail performance. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end seasonal buying process for our trend-forward product assortment, while simultaneously driving in-season retail analytics for a dedicated subset of key accounts. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role with direct impact on seasonal profitability, SKU productivity, and long-term account growth.

How You’ll Contribute

Seasonal Buy Management (Quarterly): You will manage 20% of the business that represents our freshest, trend-forward styles. Serving as the ultimate bridge between Sales, Merchandising, and Production, you will ensure we maximize SKU counts, consolidate buys efficiently, and protect our margins. This is a highly visible role that directly impacts product adoption rates and seasonal profitability.

1. Data Aggregation & Demand Consolidation

  • Own the seasonal order-intake process by pulling together all sales orders for a given fashion/seasonal window.
  • Consolidate and aggregate multi-channel sales data into a master file to cleanly summarize unit buys by style and color.

2. Cross-Functional Buy Reviews & Strategy

  • Lead and facilitate topline Seasonal Buy Review meetings with cross-functional leadership.
  • Evaluate styles based on Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), internal margin thresholds, and overall brand strategy to recommend whether a style should be greenlit for production.
  • Act as the central communicator to Sales and Merchandising regarding any leadership-driven changes, cancellations, or updates to the seasonal line.

3. Margin Management & Production Handoff

  • Collaborate with the Production and Leadership teams to secure final margin approvals before orders are placed.
  • Build, finalize, and hand off the official master buy template to the Production team for execution.

4. Post-Season Recaps & Analytics

  • Conduct post-buy recaps to analyze productivity and performance.
  • Track and report on the SKU Adoption Rate (placed vs. not placed) to provide actionable insights for future merchandising and sales strategies.

In Season Retail Sales Analytics (Weekly): In this workstream, you will own in-season retail analytics for a defined subset of accounts, working hand-in-hand with Sales Representatives to analyze business performance and identify growth opportunities. Through structured training and day-to-day collaboration, you will develop a strong foundation in retail analytics and become a trusted resource for both internal stakeholders and external account partners.

1. Account Analytics & Business Reviews

  • Partner directly with assigned Sales Representatives to analyze the performance of their retail accounts on an ongoing, in-season basis.
  • Leverage SPS Commerce to access, interpret, and present point-of-sale and inventory data from a retailer perspective.
  • Evaluate business performance across key dimensions including style selling, location-level selling, and overall account productivity.

2. Opportunity Identification & Feedback

  • Provide structured feedback to accounts on opportunities to grow the business, backed by data-driven analysis.
  • Identify underperforming styles, locations, or categories and develop actionable recommendations for in-season course correction.

3. Productivity Metrics & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on key productivity metrics for assigned accounts throughout the season.
  • Develop and maintain recurring reporting cadences to keep Sales and Merchandising informed of account-level trends.

4. Go-Forward Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives to translate in-season learnings into go-forward business strategies for future seasons.
  • Help build the analytical framework and storytelling used in account planning and line review conversations.

5. Training & Development

  • Participate in structured training under Craig Coup to develop proficiency in SPS Commerce and retail analytics best practices.
  • Build knowledge of retailer-facing metrics and continuously expand analytical capabilities
