About the Role

This is a Demand Planning role supporting the Amazon business, not an Amazon marketplace operations role. The Demand Planner is an integral member of the Demand Planning team, responsible for building and delivering an accurate, unconstrained demand forecast across assigned product categories — including Paint, Home Improvement, West Coast, and Amazon channels. This role partners closely with Finance, Sales, Merchandising, and Supply Planning to align the forecast with financial goals, product strategies, and market realities. As the organization transitions to Toolio and Blue Cherry as its primary planning and ERP systems, this position will play a key role in ensuring forecast data integrity and process continuity across platforms.

How You’ll Contribute

Demand Forecasting & Analysis

• Own the end-to-end demand planning process for Amazon product categories, driving forecast accuracy and inventory alignment across all channels.
• Analyze historical demand data, market trends, promotional calendars, and sales signals to build and maintain the unconstrained demand forecast at the product line, style, and color (material) level.
• Adjust forecasts based on in-season demand signals, order trends, and inventory risk to improve in-stock rates and support execution across channels.
• Apply statistical forecasting methods in Toolio (forecasting tool) to generate and refine detailed style/color-level forecasts for Sourcing capacity planning.
• Execute product line and style-level forecasts by loading data into Toolio and Blue Cherry to ensure the correct product mix is reflected in purchasing decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Meetings

• Prepare and facilitate monthly cross-functional demand forecast meetings with Sales, Supply Planning, and Merchandising — presenting historical demand analysis and current trends to drive consensus on the final forecast.
• Convert the demand forecast into a financial ship forecast by analyzing the current order base, carryover, and ship assumptions. Facilitate monthly meetings with Finance and Sales to recommend and align on the financial forecast submission to corporate.
• Prepare forecast reporting and demand planning metrics for monthly S&OP meetings.
• Recommend style and color forecasts to Merchandising and Sales based on historical trend analysis; facilitate meetings to ensure global forecast agreement at the product line level in alignment with financial and merchandising plans.
• Partner with Supply Planning to understand the supply-demand match and collaborate on action plans to address gaps.

Amazon Channel Demand Planning

• Manage demand planning specific to the Amazon channel, including both Seller Central and Vendor Central platforms.
• Pull and analyze the P70 report raw data and additional Amazon-specific reporting to inform forecasting decisions, monitor performance, and identify demand trends by ASIN/SKU.
• Align Amazon channel forecasts with broader brand inventory and on-time delivery targets.

Reporting & Analytics

• Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track forecast vs. actual performance, early order trends, and inventory risk; experience with Power BI and/or AI is a plus as the team transitions to Microsoft Fabric as the primary analytics platform.
• Perform SKU- and channel-level analysis using to improve planning precision and replenishment timing.
• Provide special reporting as needed, including the 5 Year Plan, monthly demand for high-volume/multiple delivery product lines, color blank requirements, and forecast accuracy (forecast vs. purchase follow-up).
• Deliver analysis and follow-through for business improvements related to shipping, inventory, SKU efficiency, systems, and process.

Annual & Long-Range Planning

• Develop the annual ship forecast for recommendation to Finance on the Financial Plan — converting demand to ship goals and establishing monthly seasonality.
• Develop the annual inventory roll based on the Financial Plan for recommendation to Finance on the inventory plan.
• Contribute to the 5 Year Plan by providing demand planning insights, trend analysis, and long-range forecasting input.

What you Bring to the team

• 3–5 years of related experience in demand planning, supply chain, sourcing, or a closely related function.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, including P70 report extraction and analysis.
• Experience with forecasting tools and Blue Cherry (ERP/PLM) strongly preferred;
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (primary analytics platform); prior experience with Power BI and/or Tableau is a strong asset as the team transitions to Fabric for enterprise reporting and dashboard development.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other PC-based tools (spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
