We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Maker to join our team in the marine industry. This role is responsible for designing and developing precise patterns for custom and production boat covers, using a combination of hands-on templating, 3D modeling, and CAD tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in patterning for fabric applications, a strong spatial understanding, and an eye for fit, function, and durability in marine environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Create accurate and detailed patterns for boat covers based on boat measurements, customer requirements, and design specifications.

Utilize templating techniques (manual and digital) to capture boat geometry.

Work with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, or specialized patterning software) to digitize and refine patterns.

Collaborate with the engineering, sewing, and production teams to ensure patterns are practical for fabrication and assembly.

Adjust and revise patterns based on fit trials, customer feedback, or design changes.

Maintain an organized archive of pattern files and documentation.

Ensure all designs meet quality, durability, and performance standards required in marine environments.

Stay informed about new materials, tools, and techniques applicable to marine fabrication.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in pattern making, preferably in the marine, upholstery, or technical textiles industries.

Proficiency in CAD software and/or 3D modeling tools used in pattern development.

Ability to read technical drawings and translate measurements into functional patterns.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

Comfortable working on boats and in outdoor/marine environments as needed.
