We are seeking a dedicated educator to serve as our District Gifted Education Coordinator, responsible for supporting and advocating for gifted and talented students throughout our district. This position requires building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while ensuring compliance with state gifted education requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about meeting the unique academic and social-emotional needs of gifted learners. This includes, but is not limited to the following key responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Student Identification & Assessment - Facilitate annual screening, review district assessment data, and maintain lists of identified gifted students and talent pool candidates.
- Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) - Develop individualized ALPs with students, parents, and teachers, monitor progress quarterly, and ensure proper documentation.
- Programming & Support - Provide pull-out groups, project-based learning support, affective sessions, and collaborate with teachers to support curriculum modifications and differentiation for gifted learners.
- Data Management & Reporting - Complete required state reporting, maintain accurate records, and provide year-end student identification updates.
- Professional Development & Communication - Work with the UnBOCES GT Coordinator and attend coordinator meetings, conduct regular student/teacher check-ins, and provide staff and parent education.

Qualifications:
- Current Colorado teaching license
- Experience working with student individual learning plans (preferred)
- Three years teaching experience
- Masters degree (preferred)
Salary : $10,420 - $14,320
