About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and grounded HR & Operations Manager to lead and strengthen the people and operational systems across our schools.
This role is essential to ensuring:
- Staff are supported and held accountable
- Systems are organized and compliant
- The school operates with clarity and consistency
This is a hands-on - on-site role for someone who is both people-centered and systems-driven.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and corrective action
- Monitor and manage employee attendance and staffing stability
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements (DCYF/WAC), background checks, and training records
- Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR systems (ADP)
- Maintain accurate personnel files and prepare for audits or licensing visits
- Partner with leadership to support staff performance, accountability, and growth
- Oversee operational systems, organization of shared spaces, and vendor coordination
- Support a professional, respectful, and consistent workplace culture
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of HR, operations, or administrative leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HR systems (ADP or similar preferred)
- Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Clear communicator who follows through
- Reliable, consistent, and proactive
Experience in early childhood education or licensed environments is strongly preferred.
