About the PositionThis role plays a key part in the design and management of K-12 educational projects across New York State. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise, creativity, and client relationship skills, and is excited to contribute both to active projects and future business development efforts.
Role & ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
Lead and participate in all phases of K-12 and higher education projects, from concept through construction.
Interpret and apply New York State Education Department (SED) requirements for public school projects.
Ensure full compliance with SED procedures, staying current on all relevant updates and protocols.
Collaborate closely with clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and vision.
Support business development efforts by identifying client needs, attending presentations, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have:
Active New York State Architect license.
5-10 years of architectural experience, with a strong focus on K-12 and/or higher education facilities.
In-depth knowledge of New York State Education Department (SED) procedures for public schools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
