Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor supports the Plant Manager with minimal supervision by leading, guiding and directing a group of employees while ensuring departmental goals are met through the OTR objectives in Safety, Service, Quality, and Cost. They will oversee all shop operation in the receiving/shipping area, sorting area, and production area for tires, wheels, and assembled product.

Essential Functions:

1. Ensures that a Sales order/ Back-order report is printed daily.

2. Checks that the shipping log is updated daily.

3. Ensures that account receivable receive all documents at the end of each day.

4. Ensures that all products that are shipped or received have been correctly identified and authorized.

5. Checks that the receiving log is updated daily.

6. Ensures that warehouse transfers are done in a timely way.

7. Ensures warehouse meets all OSHA requirements.

8. Ensures the product locator is updated daily.

9. Responsible for kitting all jobs.

10. Will advise facility manager of all RGA’s upon arrival.

11. Schedule daily duties for the warehouse team.

12. Responsible for housekeeping in the warehouse, tire pad and yard.

13. Execute WIP Schedule and control all Mounting jobs.

14. Interacts with the customers as needed.

15. Maintain a safe and clean working area.

16. Work with management to interview and train new employees and sit in on reviews.

17. Maintains workflow based on the customers demand.

18. Complete wheel inspections and reports for containers coming in.

19. Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks and reports.

20. Train others on daily work assignments when needed.

21. Utilize hand tools, power equipment and machinery to assist in the setup, processing and production of all company products with required training

22. Maintain productivity and quality at the required levels for each task

23. Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed while performing all tasks and reports.

24. Must be a team player.

25. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities:

1. High School degree or equivalent education experience

2. Must be computer literate in the basic Excel and Word programs

3. Must be 18 years of age

4. Able to physically stand, bend squat, and lift minimum of 50 pounds

5. Excellent attendance

6. Multi-tasking and organized

7. Able to maintain a dependable and flexible work schedule that could include some evenings

8. Able to organize, maintain focus, and follow up on projects independently

9. Willing to take on projects as needed

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has supervisory responsibilities over all Shipping and Receiving staff.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a manufacturing environment. At times, the employee will be exposed to manufacturing environment, including forklift traffic, fumes, noise, and operating manufacturing equipment.

Physical Demands:

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to squat. Must be able to bend at the knees, and flexible enough to work in awkward positions.

2. Must be able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time.

3. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.

4. Must be able tolerate fluctuations in temperature and humidity.

5. Must be able to work with hands and have the manual dexterity to use misc. hand tools (i.e., hammer, screwdriver etc.).

6. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

7. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. May also require some weekend work.

Travel:

No overnight travel is expected for this position. There may be occasional local day travel.

Required Education and Experience:

1. High School degree or equivalent education experience

2. Warehouse supervision experience

3. 2 years of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Associate's degree

2. 3 years of related experience
