What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Controller position at Other?
Objective of the Position: The Program Controller represents and challenges the program financials in respect of data quality, time, profitability, standards and target achievement. They will be accountable for Regular and adhoc reporting of the program financials and transparency of financial risk and opportunities and related measures within the dedicated programs. The Program Controller will supervise the program team in regards of financial processes and methods, escalate if financial program goals are on risk and ensure alignment of financial parameters between plan calculation (BC) and standard calculation (SAP).
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures that:
- Calculate and maintain business case and financial roadmap
- Identify and address risks and opportunities with the program team
- Set-up and maintain master schedule and DoMM related to controlling and cost estimation activities
- Lead the extended team cost calculation methodically for product cost and change cost calculation
- Analyze, control & report the correct & transparent financial program figures
- Challenge process for data entry for business case in terms of time, plausibility and comparability
- Check plausibility and release cost and price assumptions made within the business case
- Run deviation analysis with regard to commercial goal achievement, proactive call for countermeasures and escalation in case of endangering the program goals
- Follow-up the defined measures for target achievement to improve the financial success
- Monitor cost, investment and revenues for all program relevant financial figures (e.g. tooling, CAPEX, prototype, D&D…)
- Evaluate EC regarding impact on program financials
- Support forecast, budget and midterm planning in cooperation with controlling / sales / plant
- Support further development of standard tools and processes
- (e.g. target costing)
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures that:
- Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or closely related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience in plant and/or project controlling. Prefer at least 5 years’ experience.
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
Technical Expertise:

- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write correspondence.
