Competitive Pay:This position offers an hourly wage starting at$30/hr. , depending on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, train, and mentor control panel technicians and assemblers
- Assign daily work, prioritize production schedules, and monitor progress
- Oversee the assembly and wiring of industrial control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures
- Mount electrical components including breakers, relays, PLCs, power supplies, VFDs, and terminal blocks
- Perform point-to-point wiring based on electrical schematics and layout drawings
- Ensure the label wires, devices, and components per standards
- Ensure panels are built according to the electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Perform continuity checks and basic functional testing
- Inspect completed panels for accuracy and quality
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (UL, NEC, customer specs)
- Assist with troubleshooting wiring issues
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience in industrial control panel assembly or related field
- 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics required
- Familiarity with industrial control components (PLCs, VFDs, relays) preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs
- Manual dexterity for detailed wiring work
- Prolonged standing and working in a shop environment
- Exposure to noise, grease, and industrial conditions
