Shipping and Receiving Specialist

In this vital role, you will verify material against saw logs ensuring the correct number of cut pieces is present, use a bander or wrapper to prepare material for shipment, and load/ unload material for deliveries. Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload trucks to move goods within the warehouse.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying cut pieces to saw logs to sales orders accurately paying attention to the small details.
• Ensure proper packaging of materials using a bander/wrapper and palletizing materials for shipping.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse operations including shipping & receiving ad order fulfillment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments.
• Knowledge of packaging techniques suitable for various product types to ensure safe delivery.
• Experience with order packing processes in distribution environments.
