Saw operators are responsible for operating and managing industrial saw, cutting material to order spec. verifying and maintaining traceability of material.
Saw Operator duties and responsibilities
· Verify materiel (length, HT#, LT#, ETC. per order)
· Measure parts using tape measure.
· Cut materiel to order spec.
· Report shortages
· Report quality deficiencies
· Tag and maintain material traceability.
· Inspect machinery and identify damages.
· Determine the need for repairs.
· Maintain work area organized and free of hazards.
· Produce activity logs.
· Comply with company policies and guidelines.
· Assist in keeping a safe environment.
Saw Operator requirements and qualifications
· 2 year of experience as saw operator or similar role.
· Attention to detail.
· Good knowledge of industrial equipment
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Excellent coordination
· Good time-management skills
· Great interpersonal and communication skills
· High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Valid certification to operate forklifts is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
