A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is looking for a Firmware Engineering Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you will coordinate with FW engineering development team, QA teams and cross-functional teams to resolve challenges in development stages of the firmware. This role includes identifying, evaluating, and driving the various activities while clearly communicating the risks, priorities and schedules.
Responsibilities:
• Define and maintain project schedules
• Learn the various internal tools related to managing projects in audio firmware org
• Support EPMs in working with engineering and other cross-functional teams to drive firmware deliverables
• Assist in scoping cross-functional allocation requests and fulfillment for prototype builds
• Monitor software line that gets built and tested on multiple test vehicles
• Collaborate with quality assurance and system integration teams to track critical changes
• Keep an optimized build cadence to support hardware partners
• Track quality degradations and drive resolution with cross-functional partners
Qualifications:
• 10 years of technical program management experience.
• Strong knowledge of firmware and device driver technologies.
• Experience leading engineering teams and technical discussions.
• Familiar with debugging and understanding of system logs and diagnostics.
• Proven ability to drive issues, prioritize tasks, and execute in rapid development cycles.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams.
Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months with extension
Work Location: Cupertino, CA (onsite)
Pay rate: $77.00 - $92.00/ph (DOE)
