We re looking for a Test Engineer to join a global automotive company known for innovation, cutting-edge technology, and a passion for excellence in vehicle design and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with extensive experience in test engineering, data analysis, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles and analytical tools to develop test plans and procedures for parts and components within your area of specialty.
- Conduct design feasibility tests to ensure parts/components meet design acceptance criteria, performance targets, and all applicable regulatory or internal standards.
- Create data settings, test specifications, standards, and schedules to support validation activities.
- Prepare and set up test equipment, execute moderately complex test activities, and document/summarize results with accuracy and thoroughness.
- Analyze and interpret test data to predict performance or failure trends, identify issues, and develop countermeasures or design improvements.
- Communicate test results clearly through written reports and formal presentations.
- Recommend design changes and countermeasures based on test outcomes and analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, software, and calibration teams to enhance overall product performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Electrical Engineering (EE) required.
- Note: 6 years of directly related experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum 5 years of test engineering experience in an automotive or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in testing, validation, and confirmation per area of specialty.
- Proficiency with tools such as INCA, CANalyzer, and CANoe.
- Programming experience in C, C#, C , and Python.
- Familiarity with microcontroller I/O programming and control logic.
- Experience with software testing and calibration methodologies.
