What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Audit & M&A Analyst position at OSG?
OSG is seeking an Internal Audit & M&A Analyst to conduct internal audits to evaluate financial controls, risk management, and operational effectiveness. The role also plays a key part in supporting the Executive Leadership Team with strategic buy-side acquisition initiatives in the print and mail industry. This includes due diligence, financial modeling, transaction support, and integration planning. The position collaborates cross-functionally with senior leaders across finance, operations, sales, and legal.
Job Responsibilities
Internal Audit
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and process compliance, particularly across OSG’s quote-to-bill cycle, through sample testing, walkthroughs, and documentation review.
- Develop and execute audit programs based on risk assessments aligned with project objectives.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to management in clear, concise audit reports.
- Build interactive dashboards and present monthly metrics to identify root causes and drive process improvements.
- Conduct post-acquisition audits to evaluate the effectiveness of integrated control environments and identify efficiency opportunities.
Mergers & Acquisitions (buy-side)
- Support the due diligence process by coordinating and reviewing information across financial, legal, operational, and technology functions.
- Analyze working capital components, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
- Build and maintain financial models to support valuation, deal structuring, and scenario analysis.
- Assist with post-close integration and assessment of acquired entities. (Hybrid Audit & M&A)
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Foundational experience with financial modeling to support buy-side transactions and strategic analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Self-motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, and business-minded.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
