Overview
The Marketing Coordinator will work with the ORS team with the development, implementation, and successful execution of our overall marketing strategies for our educational programs, scientific meetings, membership, and engagement initiatives. The specialist is responsible for all our social media efforts, creation of digital media (Canva), oversight of our YouTube content, targeted promotions, PowerPoint presentations, flyers, development of surveys, evaluations and general society promotions and marketing materials.
The Marketing Coordinator will also serve as the staff liaison to the ORS Insiders and the Social Media Committees and help them in achieving the strategic goals as defined by the ORS Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive multichannel marketing campaigns that incorporate social media marketing, email marketing, print advertising, and digital advertising platforms such as Google AdWords and Facebook Advertising.
- Manage content marketing initiatives by creating compelling copy, blog posts, newsletters, and promotional materials aligned with brand voice and audience interests.
- Optimize website content using SEO best practices and maintain website updates through WordPress and basic HTML coding to enhance user experience and search engine rankings.
- Utilize analytics tools like Google Analytics to monitor campaign performance, interpret data insights, and refine marketing strategies for maximum impact.
- Coordinate advertising sales efforts by identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and supporting product management initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on branding projects, promotional events, and digital initiatives that support overall business objectives.
- Manage marketing automation tools to streamline campaigns, track engagement metrics, and improve lead nurturing processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in digital marketing with familiarity in SEO, social media marketing, performance marketing, and multichannel campaigns.
- Hands-on knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for content creation and visual assets development.
- Strong understanding of B2B (business-to-business) marketing strategies and e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google AdWords (now Google Ads), Facebook Advertising, and email marketing platforms is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to craft engaging copy for various audiences while maintaining brand consistency through research and content marketing techniques.
- Familiarity with HTML coding basics, WordPress website management, and print advertising processes is preferred.
- Ability to analyze campaign data effectively to optimize performance marketing efforts and demonstrate ROI.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to project management—ready to thrive in a collaborative environment focused on innovative solutions.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
