This high-impact role focuses on market growth, strategic customer engagement, and the development of enhanced services in the specialty metals sector, including advanced materials such as Titanium and Nickel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build out and expand Conversion Services as a dedicated business line within a growing organization.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, analyze customer needs, and drive market discovery initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective customer targeting strategies while shaping pricing structures based on market intelligence.
  • Lead cross-functional teams—including sales, production, operations, finance, and technical specialists—to deliver innovative and value-added solutions for clients.

  • Establish strategic objectives and create business partnerships to support ongoing growth and market differentiation.
  • Drive commercial results and pursue continuous improvement initiatives, including launching new services and expanding into new markets and regions.
  • Own and execute the full business development lifecycle: strategy, outreach, negotiations, deal structuring, and customer relationship management.
  • Resolve client and operational challenges in real-time, emphasizing both crisis management and proactive problem solving.
  • Prepare and present business cases for evolving service lines, working closely with senior leadership on growth initiatives.
  • Track market trends, perform competitive analysis, and maintain critical relationships to secure early wins and milestones.
  • Develop pricing frameworks that support both value capture and long-term customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (technical background preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in sales engineering, product management, or business development, ideally specializing in specialty alloys/metals manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in market expansion, revenue generation, and customer engagement within high-visibility commercial roles.
  • Expertise in metals processing/manufacturing; experience with Titanium, Nickel, or similar advanced materials required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM systems, pricing models, and market intelligence tools.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and drive continuous operational improvements.

Success Factors:

  • Rapidly acquire technical knowledge of services and customer requirements.
  • Identify and pursue market growth in emerging regions.
  • Build high-value customer alliances and deliver measurable revenue or service improvements in the first year.
  • Lead strategic projects including global evaluation of conversion services and pricing initiatives.

Team & Culture:

  • Professional, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Hybrid schedule offers flexibility and organizational visibility.
  • Extensive exposure to executive leadership; broad internal and external interfaces.
  • No direct reports but significant cross-functional influence.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Commercial acumen and strategic business mindset
  • Expertise in negotiation and business development
  • Proven problem-solving skills with customer focus
  • Technical specialty metals knowledge (Titanium is a strong asset)

Role Differentiators:
