What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at Orleans Southwest?
The Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union (OSSU) is seeking a dynamic head chef at Wolcott Elementary. The responsibilities of this position include the preparation and serving of food to students during breakfast and lunch; supervising an assistant, cleaning and sterilizing utensils, machines, and other equipment used during food preparation; ensuring that students are served appropriate portion sizes; and storing and handling food in safe ways. Other tasks include using ordering and reporting software and point of sales system, food ordering, inventory, menu creation/consultation, money collection/deposits in accordance with established practices. The position is for 8 hours per day for all school days, plus ten days added for professional development. Full benefits, 12 paid holidays, and paid time off are also part of the position. While it is rare, all Food Service staff are employees of the Supervisory Union and could be subject to a change in location based on student and staffing needs.

Salary : $35,000 - $40,000
