What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Consulting Teacher, Full-Time position at Orleans Southwest?
The Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union is seeking a dynamic Compliance Consulting Teacher (CCT) to serve as a subject-matter expert in special education compliance, consistent with state and federal law, within OSSUs Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The CCT provides guidance, consultation, and training to case managers, school teams, and administrators to ensure adherence to IDEA, Vermont Special Education Rules, and local policies.This role focuses on promoting legally compliant, high-quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and processes by monitoring timelines, reviewing documentation, and supporting accurate reporting. The CCT fosters inclusive practices and equitable access to learning by embedding compliance standards into team decision-making and by equipping educators with the knowledge and tools to develop student-centered supports aligned with OSSUs Strategic Plan.This full-time, school-year position is under the collective bargaining unit of our teachers. OSSU is also seeking an additional part-time (0.50 FTE) Compliance Consulting Teacher for a candidate seeking part-time employment.
