Overview

Come join our growing elevator business in a team environment. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. Base pay ranges from $35K-50K with commissions depending on prior elevator sales experience. This role is crucial in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, strategic planning, and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to enhance our sales performance.

Duties

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and strategic outreach.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage client relationships and track sales activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that drive lead generation.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare reports on business development activities, sales forecasts, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Lead project management initiatives related to new business ventures or partnerships.
  • Account manage existing customer base for new modernization opportunities and repair opportunities.

Experience

  • 5-7 years of outside sales experience tracking leads, converting prospects into new customers.
  • Bachelors degree preferred in sales, marketing or related field.
  • Proven experience in business development or a related field, with a strong track record of success in sales.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software for managing customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in strategic planning and executing marketing initiatives that drive growth.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on building effective relationships.
  • Preferred elevator experience a plus.
  • Speak, read, write English clearly.
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to write clear and concise emails.
  • Must be technically and mechanically minded and inclined.
