We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the engineering, maintenance, and operation of all incoming plant power distribution and electrical services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and performance while supporting capital projects and providing engineering support to operations and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the engineering, maintenance, and operation of plant electrical power distribution systems
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance procedures
- Manage high-voltage power distribution systems up to 345kV, including protective relaying, transformers, and switchgear
- Maintain and support general plant power and electrical equipment
- Plan and organize maintenance shutdowns and outages
- Plan and execute mill construction and capital improvement projects
- Lead department-wide safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Interview, train, and supervise electrical maintenance personnel
- Interview, train, and support crane maintenance personnel
Qualifications
- BSEE or BSEET
- 5 years of relevant industrial or plant electrical experience
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple departments
- Self-starter with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience with high- and medium-voltage power systems
- Experience with drives, controls, and automation systems
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
