Tax Accountant - Law Firm

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Location: This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Note: We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years of tax accounting experience. CPA is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Provide tax planning, tax preparation, and tax advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and business owners
• Collaborate closely with attorneys on tax strategies related to estate planning, wealth preservation, and broader financial matters
• Help manage tax compliance and support accurate state and federal filings
• Assist with financial reporting, accounting oversight, and review of client financial information
• Support bookkeeping and financial statement review as needed
• Serve as a trusted point of contact on tax and accounting matters for client engagements
• Help improve internal workflows, tax processes, and overall client service delivery
• Contribute strategic tax insight that helps drive better client outcomes

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred
• 2 years of tax accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of tax planning, tax preparation, and tax compliance
• Experience working directly with clients in a tax-focused accounting, public accounting, or similar environment
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and operate with a high level of ownership
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, or owner-operator structures is a plus
• QuickBooks Online proficiency is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a client-facing, service-oriented approach
