What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep position at Original Pancake House?
Our Purpose
At The Original Pancake House, we don’t just serve food; We delight every guest with an extraordinary breakfast and lunch experience. You are the craftspeople who turn raw ingredients into the "extraordinary," ensuring every plate that leaves the window is a masterpiece.
How We Work (Our Core Values)
- We Serve Enthusiastically: We bring passion to the heat of the kitchen. Even during a heavy Saturday rush, we maintain a positive "can-do" energy that fuels the entire team.
- We Are Driven by Quality and Results: We are obsessed with the details—the internal temp of the steak, the crispness of the bacon, and the beauty of the garnish. If it’s not perfect, it doesn’t go out.
- We Are "On Stage": Whether we have an open kitchen or work behind the swinging doors, we act with professionalism and pride. Our kitchen is clean, our uniforms are sharp, and our conduct reflects the high standards of our "performance."
- Hospitality is a Team Sport: The kitchen is the ultimate team environment. We communicate clearly, support the "weeds" when a teammate is down, and work in total "sync" with the front-of-house to win the shift.
The Role
Prep Cook
- Focus: Setting the stage for success by preparing fresh ingredients, sauces, and batters from scratch.
- Responsibility: You ensure the line is armed with the highest quality ingredients. Without your "Team Sport" contribution, the performance can’t happen.
Qualifications
- Quality Obsessed: You have high standards for food safety, presentation, and taste.
- Team Player: You thrive in a "we, not me" environment and stay calm under the pressure of a busy lunch rush.
- Professional Presence: You understand that being "On Stage" means keeping a clean station and a focused mind.
- Morning Energy: You are ready to hit the ground running for the early morning breakfast crowd.
