Position Overview
Orenda Health & Wellness is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Practice Administrator to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing healthcare organization. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team performance across clinical and administrative functions.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong healthcare operations experience, a deep understanding of compliance, and a passion for building systems and teams in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of clinical and administrative functions across the health center
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and standard operating workflows
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
- Lead implementation and ongoing optimization of clinical services (on-site and telehealth)
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance, including ongoing coaching and evaluations
- Partner with clinical leadership to support high-quality patient care and service delivery
- Oversee EMR implementation, staff training, and documentation accuracy
- Monitor patient flow, operational efficiency, and patient experience
- Oversight of inventory, procurement, and clinic resources
- Support credentialing, payer enrollment, and billing/coding
- Lead quality assurance, risk management, and audit readiness initiatives
- Respond to patient concerns and resolve operational issues as they arise
- Provide regular reporting on operational and financial performance
- Assist with budget development, expense management, revenue cycle optimization, and margin improvement
- Establish relationships with labs, telehealth platforms, staffing agencies, and other vendors, including negotiating contracts and managing performance
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational growth
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare operations or practice management experience
- Demonstrated experience managing clinical teams and healthcare workflows
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, including HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Experience with EMR systems, billing/coding, and healthcare operations infrastructure
- Proven ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MPH) or equivalent experience
- Experience with 340B program oversight and compliance
- Background in HIV/STI prevention, primary care, or community health settings
- Experience in a start-up or high-growth healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of telehealth operations and implementation
