The Vice President of Corporate Finance will lead the finance department and provide strategic stewardship of the Credit Union’s financial performance and balance sheet. This includes overseeing asset/liability management, liquidity and investment strategy, interest rate and credit risk management, budgeting and forecasting, and CECL analysis. What You Will Need To Be Successful
- Corporate Finance Expertise: Prior experience overseeing corporate finance disciplines such as asset/liability management, liquidity and investment strategy, interest rate and credit risk management, balance sheet forecasting, and CECL analysis. Deep understanding of ALM modeling, forecasting methodologies, and financial risk measurement tools. Prior experience utilizing enterprise budgeting and modeling software (i.e. Axiom and Power BI, or similar) highly preferred.
- Strategic Leadership & Financial Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including leading forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning processes to support strategic decision‑making and organizational growth. Strong ability to work with complex financial data and reporting systems, interpret economic and performance trends, model scenarios, and translate analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Talent Development: Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams through effective coaching, mentoring and performance management. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative, accountable culture that supports professional growth, continuous improvement and effective execution. Skilled in providing timely, constructive feedback and recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance. At least three years of management experience is required.
- Communication & Collaboration Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex financial concepts to diverse audiences. Skilled in resolving conflict, exercising sound judgment and taking initiative when navigating complex situations. Proven ability to build trust and effectively partner with senior leaders, internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience & Education: Eight to ten years of progressive finance experience with an emphasis on asset/liability management, budgeting, forecasting, and fixed income investment portfolio management. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent work experience required with MBA or CFA highly preferred.
