What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Train Staff - Silverton Christmas Market position at Oregon Garden Resort?
We’re hiring Seasonal Train Staff to work at our Christmas Market Train attraction! The Silverton Christmas Market runs from November 20 – December 31 and features more than 2 million lights, vendors, food, attractions, and holiday fun. ✨
No train experience is required — we’ll provide the training you need.
AVAILABLE ROLES
Train Attendant – Sell train tickets, assist guests with boarding and exiting the train, answer questions, and help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for riders.
Train Driver – Drive our wheeled train safely throughout the event, follow established safety procedures, and help keep the attraction running smoothly and on schedule. No train experience is required, and training will be provided. Experience safely operating golf carts, shuttles, delivery vehicles, grounds equipment, or similar vehicles/equipment is a plus. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Friendly, dependable, and guest-focused
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Able to work outdoors in cold, rainy, and changing winter weather
- Available to work evening shifts, typically around 4:30–9:15 PM. Shift times vary by position and event needs.
- Train Driver applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check
IN-PERSON JOB FAIR REQUIRED
