What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Greeters - Silverton Christmas Market position at Oregon Garden Resort - 98c4?
We’re hiring Seasonal Greeters to join the Silverton Christmas Market team! This festive event runs from November 20 – December 31 and features more than 2 million lights, vendors, food, attractions, and holiday fun. ✨
If you enjoy interacting with people and helping create a welcoming experience, our Greeter and Santa’s Helper positions put you right in the middle of the Christmas Market experience.
Welcome guests throughout the Christmas Market, check wristbands to help ensure only ticketed guests are within the event, provide directions and event information, answer questions, and assist with guest flow. Greeters may also help guests take photos using their personal phones. Some Greeters may be stationed at roadway crossings and responsible for safely opening and closing the road when the train or vehicles need to pass. This position is outdoors in winter weather.
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
- Interact directly with Christmas Market guests throughout your shift
- Provide friendly, helpful service to guests of all ages
- Answer questions and help guests navigate their Christmas Market experience
- Assist guests with taking photos using their personal phones
- Work as part of a team in a busy holiday event environment
- Help create a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations with guests
- Strong communication and people skills
- Comfortable using different types of smartphones to take photos for guests
- Patient and comfortable interacting with guests of all ages
- Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Available to work evening shifts, typically around 4:30–9:15 PM. Shift times vary by position and event needs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in cold, rainy, and changing winter weather
