Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle ERP Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion
Cloud Financials. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience delivering Oracle solutions within public sector environments, including federal, state, and local government agencies. This role requires a blend of functional configuration expertise, stakeholder engagement, and an understanding of government financial regulations and compliance requirements. This role requires client communications and onsite travel as required during the testing phases
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials
modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed
Assets, Cash Management, and Expenses.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from public sector clients and
translate them into Oracle ERP solutions aligned with government financial policies.
• Develop and maintain cross-validation rules, chart of accounts structures, intercompany
accounting setups, and reporting hierarchies.
• Collaborate with technical teams on Oracle BI Publisher reports, OTBI analytics,
Financial Reporting Studio reports, and Smart View configurations.
• Provide post-implementation support, user training, and knowledge transfer to client
teams.
• Participate in system testing (SIT, UAT) and defect resolution cycles.
• Stay current with Oracle quarterly updates and advise clients on feature adoption and
upgrade planning.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business
Administration, or a related field.
• 7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle ERP implementations, with a focus on
Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and/or EPM modules.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with public sector clients (federal, state, or local
government agencies).
• Strong understanding of government accounting standards including GASB, federal fund
accounting, and OMB compliance requirements.
• Proven experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud configuration: General Ledger, Subledger
Accounting, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Expenses.
• Strong knowledge of chart of accounts design, cross-validation rules, and financial
reporting structures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with
both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
• Oracle Cloud certifications in Financials or EPM (e.g., Oracle Financials Cloud: General
Ledger Certified Implementation Specialist).
• Experience with public sector procurement, capital projects or project accounting
modules.
• Prior experience supporting ERP implementations for Virginia state agencies or the
broader DC Metro/federal government landscape.
