What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pathology Data Entry Clerk position at Opus Pathology?
Full-Time: Night Position - 4:30pm-1:00am, Monday-Friday
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
-Receives, accessions, labels, and logs laboratory information
-Performs related cleaning duties
-Maintains accurate logs, inventory, and supply levels
-Receives and transmits telephone calls, pages, and intercom messages
-Picks up specimens to be processed from hospital receiving points
-Keys demographic information for all specimen types into the laboratory information system
-Scans requisitions into the document imaging system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school diploma
-Good computer skills required Must be able to type (at least 40 wpm)
-Must be able to interact with other laboratory personnel and pathologists
-Must possess sufficient academic and clerical skills to evaluate, troubleshoot, research, and resolve day-to-day problems which arise
-Accuracy in every facet is a must
