What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist position at Opus Pathology?
WESTERN KENTUCKY (USA). Opus Pathology is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pathologist with outstanding diagnostic skills to serve the pathology needs of a community hospital system. This is a hospital-based position at our hospital facility in Western Kentucky. Opus Pathology is a physician owned practice in the middle Tennessee area with a large outreach including numerous hospitals, physician practices and surgery centers.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality diagnostic services in surgical pathology and/or subspecialty areas (e.g., general surgical pathology, gynecologic pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, etc.) commonly seen in community practice
- Integrate effectively with hospital clinical teams and laboratory staff
- Participate in tumor boards
- Serve as the clinical and anatomic laboratory medical director
- Frozen section analysis
- Be an ambassador for Opus Pathology while fulling supporting the needs of the hospital
- Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Kentucky
- Proven excellence in verbal and written communication
- At least 2 years of work experience post training is recommended

This job position is 3 days a week on-site. The other 2 days can be remote. This would be a great position for an experienced pathologist who would like to work part-time. Or the candidate can choose to work full-time, with the other 2 days being remote digital pathology work or on-site at our main facility in Columbia TN.
