What are the responsibilities and job description for the Histotechnician/Histotechnolgist position at Opus Pathology?
Opus Pathology is currently looking for two Histotechnician to join our Histology team!
Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am, No weekends, No holidays
JOB SUMMARY:
A Histotechnician prepares human body tissue for examination by the Pathologists. This position performs embedding, microtomy, slide labeling, special stains, and all histology related tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
-Section all types of paraffin embedded tissue
-Proficient in all Histology related tasks (microtomy, embedding, special stains)
-Proficient with special stain slide QC
-Works with entire histology team with respect and cooperation
QUALIFICATIONS
-High school diploma or GED required
-Associate's in science (preferred)
-Registered as Histology Technician HT (ASCP) or Histolotechnologist HTL (ASCP) (preferred)
