Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy and utilities organization, is looking for a Workstation Support professional to provide hands-on technical support across multiple operational and office locations throughout Indiana.
In this role, you will install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair personal computer hardware, software, peripherals, and related technology. You will serve as a frontline technical resource for end users, diagnosing issues, providing technical assistance and training, and ensuring employees have the tools and systems needed to perform their jobs effectively.
The primary location will be Columbus, Indiana with regular travel to additional sites throughout the region. Other job sites include Batesville, Bedford, Bloomington, Clarksville, Connersville, Corydon, Gallagher Station, Greensburg, Salem, Seymour, and Shelbyville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of desktop support, field IT work, troubleshooting, and direct interaction with end users.

What the responsibilities are:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals, and related hardware.
- Diagnose workstation hardware, software, connectivity, and user issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Perform minor repairs, hardware replacements, software installations, and system changes.
- Provide hands-on technical support to employees at the primary Columbus location and additional Indiana sites.
- Respond to user inquiries regarding system operation and provide clear, professional technical assistance.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend appropriate corrective or preventative actions.
- Assist users with basic system operation, troubleshooting, and technology-related questions.
- Move and deploy IT equipment between vehicles, offices, operational facilities, and other supported locations.
- Travel to various company sites throughout North, Central, and Southern Indiana to provide onsite IT support.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when working with employees across different operational environments.
- Follow company IT procedures, security requirements, and safety policies while working in office and operational environments.
