Vyvx Operations Technician

Optomi, in partnership with leading telecommunications organization, is seeking Operations Technicians to join the Vyvx Operations Center team in Tulsa, OK. This role supports one of the industry's leading broadcast transmission networks, delivering live sporting events and major broadcasts for clients across television, streaming, and media platforms. The Operations Technician serves as a frontline technical resource responsible for coordinating, monitoring, validating, and restoring broadcast services across fiber, satellite, and IP-based transport networks. What Type of Experience the Right Candidate Has:
- 2-5 years of experience in broadcast operations, network operations, telecommunications, or a related technical environment
- Understanding of IP networking concepts including MPLS, Ethernet, Internet services, and TCP/IP
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- Familiarity with Cisco and/or Juniper networking platforms
- Experience supporting broadcast video technologies including HD-SDI, UHD, HDR/SDR, and 4K video delivery
- Experience working in customer-facing environments with ticketing systems and service delivery responsibilities
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and work independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support broadcast television transmissions across Vyvx fiber, satellite, teleport, and third-party vendor networks
- Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot video and audio signals to ensure successful service delivery
- Manage customer service requests, outages, impairments, and restoration activities within established service level agreements
- Create, update, and close service tickets while maintaining accurate operational documentation
- Schedule, route, and switch broadcast signals through network infrastructure for transmission verification
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to validate service delivery and provide status updates
- Troubleshoot IP network, broadcast transport, and connectivity issues across multiple platforms and technologies
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless service operations
Job Must Haves:
- Understanding of IP networking fundamentals including MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and routing concepts
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, Cisco, or Juniper networking environments
- Experience supporting broadcast video technologies and signal flows
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask across multiple systems, tickets, and customer requests
- Self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
Nice to Have Skills:
- Juniper certifications or strong Juniper networking experience
- Experience within a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Broadcast Operations Center
