Javelin Operations is a specialty mechanical services company supporting some of the largest mission-critical facilities in North America. Our teams provide mechanical flushing, temporary pumping, filtration, stainless steel passivation, water treatment, and water recovery services for data centers and other critical infrastructure projects.

Position Summary

The Mission-Critical Mechanical Technician supports field operations on industrial and data center construction projects throughout the United States. Technicians assist with the installation, operation, and maintenance of temporary mechanical systems used for flushing, passivation, filtration, water treatment, and system commissioning activities.

This position offers the opportunity to develop specialized technical skills while working on some of the most advanced facilities being built today.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of pumps, filtration systems, and temporary mechanical equipment.
• Install and remove temporary hoses, piping, valves, and fittings.
• Support flushing, cleaning, passivation, and water treatment operations.
• Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and equipment performance.
• Collect water samples and perform basic field testing.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
• Load, unload, inspect, and maintain company equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Complete daily reports, field documentation, and equipment logs.
• Follow all company, client, and site safety requirements.
• Travel to project sites throughout North America.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying schedules.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

Previous industry experience is beneficial but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Wear required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and safety footwear.
• Work safely around industrial equipment and active construction sites.
