Server Engineer - VMWare VCF-9 Specialist

Optomi, in partnership with a leading entertainment company, is looking for a Server Engineer – VMware VCF-9 Specialist to join their team in a hybrid capacity. We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer with strong expertise in VMware environments, particularly vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations. This role is responsible for assessing existing server infrastructure, designing and deploying scalable and secure environments, and ensuring optimal performance across enterprise systems. The position also includes creating detailed technical documentation, providing Tier 3 support, and delivering training sessions to cross-functional teams.

What Type of Experience the Right Candidate Has:

• 5 years of experience in server engineering or systems administration
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies including vSphere 8.x, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and VDS
• Proven experience with vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations
• Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or similar platforms
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience creating technical documentation and delivering training

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Conduct assessments of server infrastructure and VMware environments

• Provide Tier 3 support for server-related incidents and escalations
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and environment diagrams
