Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable analytics, dashboards, reporting solutions, and lightweight applications using existing enterprise data.
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on transforming complex business requirements into reliable, data-driven solutions across AWS and SQL environments. The right candidate will combine advanced SQL skills, AWS cloud expertise, dashboard development, software engineering, testing, and production troubleshooting. This is not a traditional ETL or task-execution role. The engineer will be expected to question assumptions, identify inefficiencies, challenge existing approaches, and drive better technical and business outcomes.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
- 8β10 years of software development, cloud engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical experience
- 5 years of hands-on AWS cloud platform experience
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, API Gateway, Athena, and IAM
- Advanced SQL experience, including complex queries, reusable views, optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, Hive, or similar database technologies
- Strong experience building analytics, dashboards, KPI reports, and data-visualization solutions
- Experience with QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or a similar business-intelligence platform
- Strong programming experience with Python, Node.js, Go, or a similar language
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with AWS monitoring and troubleshooting tools including CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray
- Experience analyzing logs, metrics, and traces across distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, with GitLab exposure preferred

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Build and optimize SQL-based analytics, dashboard, reporting, and business-insight solutions
- Analyze enterprise data using AWS services such as Athena, RDS, Hive, S3, and Aurora
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reports, reusable queries, and reporting views
- Partner with stakeholders to define, refine, and validate business metrics and reporting logic
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, reliability, and performance of analytics solutions
- Create lightweight automation, applications, APIs, and tools to reduce manual reporting effort
- Design and support cloud-based services using EC2, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and other AWS technologies
- Develop solutions using Python, Node.js, Go, or similar programming languages
- Design RESTful APIs and contribute to microservices-based architectures
- Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray, logs, metrics, and traces
- Perform systematic root-cause analysis and resolve complex production issues
