About the Opportunity
Optomi, in partnership with a large tech company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team and contribute to cloud networking products. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep Kubernetes experience, strong networking/security fundamentals (DNS/DHCP), and expertise in Go or Python. You’ll help build cloud-native, scalable, highly available services that power network management, control, and security for Infoblox customers across the globe.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-networking features for a platform.
• Build backend services using Go (preferred) or Python, delivered via microservices and containerized workloads.
• Implement components of the cloud platform with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Deploy services iteratively through a cloud-based architecture using Kubernetes and. multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Improve system efficiency, resiliency, observability, and fault tolerance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional product, cloud platform, and networking teams across Burnaby, Tacoma, and Bangalore.
• Stay current with modern cloud, networking, and security technologies while contributing to architectural discussions.
• Own key backend platform components and help advance service design, performance, and operational excellence.
Experience of the Right Candidate:
• 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes.
• Deep networking/security knowledge, especially DNS, DHCP, and IPAM concepts.
• Proficiency in Golang (preferred) or Python, including concurrency, routines, channels, and API development.
• Experience designing microservices and working with Docker and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud platforms: AWS (primary), with exposure to Azure and/or GCP.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native design.
• United States Citizen or Green Card only (W2, no C2C).
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (CS, CE, or EE).
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
