Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services company, is seeking a Senior Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll & Time Lead to fulfill a contract-to-hire opportunity for a client based in Jersey City, NJ.
The ideal professional will possess deep expertise in US Payroll configuration within Oracle Fusion HCM, strong knowledge of Oracle Time and Labor, and hands-on experience supporting production payroll environments. This role requires someone who can work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT teams, external vendors, and Oracle Support to ensure stable and compliant payroll operations.

- Deep expertise configuring and supporting US Payroll within Oracle Fusion HCM
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll balancing, payroll troubleshooting, and payroll operations
- Experience supporting Oracle quarterly releases, legislative patches, and regression testing efforts
- Functional expertise with Oracle Time and Labor including time rules, calculations, approvals, and integrations
- Experience supporting integrations across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance/GL, tax providers, and time systems
- Experience coordinating with Oracle Support and third-party vendors to resolve production issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to oversee end-to-end delivery efforts from requirements through production support
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll and Time & Labor environments
- Configure and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion Payroll and Time functionality
- Support payroll processing cycles and resolve payroll-related production issues
- Coordinate quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, legislative patches, and regression testing activities
- Analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies, time calculation issues, and integration failures
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT teams to support operational initiatives
- Manage testing cycles, defect resolution, and production validation activities
- Coordinate with Oracle Support to manage service requests and production escalations
- Support integrations with Finance/GL, tax providers, benefits vendors, and external payroll systems
- Document functional requirements, configuration decisions, testing outcomes, and operational processes
- Provide guidance and leadership across Oracle HCM Payroll and Time initiatives
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, business processes, and operational standards
