Optomi, in partnership with a market leader in the financial sector, is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer for a hybrid (2x per week!) position out of their office in Baltimore, MD. This role is centered around supporting legacy systems for the investment risk team and enhancing existing tools and applications for the securitized subsector of fixed income. The team is transitioning to build new tools for portfolio managers, with a heavy focus on backend development. This candidate will collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and improve the platform that serves credit analysts, and pivot toward creating scalable, innovative solutions.

Experience of the right candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8 years of experience in backend development, using .NET framework.
- Experience working with databases from the front-end to the back-end, ensuring efficient data flow and integration.
- Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs for middleware and service communication.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, etc.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience building solutions using cloud components.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Enhance and maintain tools and applications that support credit analysts, while pivoting towards the development of tools for portfolio managers.
- Focus primarily on backend development using .NET.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on building and maintaining database solutions, deployment pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
