IOC Network Operations Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time | Location: On-Site, Fort Worth, TX
Optomi, in partnership with a leading AI cloud infrastructure provider, is seeking an IOC Network Operations Specialist to join a high-performing Infrastructure Operations Center (IOC) team supporting large-scale GPU-based cloud and data center environments. This role is responsible for Tier 2 network operations, incident response, advanced troubleshooting, and maintaining the health and reliability of mission-critical cloud networking infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong networking foundation, data center experience, and a passion for solving complex infrastructure issues in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
- 2-5 years of experience supporting enterprise networking, NOC/IOC operations, or data center infrastructure.
- Strong networking fundamentals including switching, routing, TCP/IP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 troubleshooting (CCNA or equivalent preferred).
- Experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiSwitch) or comparable Cisco networking and security platforms.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills (CompTIA A or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure including fiber optics, network switches, PDUs, and rack-mounted equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24x7 operations environment and travel occasionally as needed.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Provide Tier 2 escalation support for complex network and cloud infrastructure incidents while meeting established SLA targets.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and operational health across enterprise cloud and data center environments.
- Troubleshoot advanced switching, routing, firewall, and hybrid cloud connectivity issues to restore services quickly.
- Lead technical investigations and contribute to root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact production incidents.
- Execute approved network changes while adhering to established change management processes.
- Support backbone networking, customer interconnections, and hybrid cloud connectivity across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers, vendors, carriers, and internal operations teams to resolve escalated infrastructure issues.
- Maintain accurate runbooks, operational documentation, incident records, and knowledge base articles.
- Mentor Tier 1 technicians and Data Center Technicians by providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in major incident response activities and rotating on-call support as required.
