Optomi, in partnership with a leading global technology provider serving the consulting industry, is seeking an experienced Android Developer with strong Kotlin expertise and a track record of migrating applications to modern architectures at enterprise scale. You will help move 100 mobile application modules from our legacy platform to the new architecture, following a standardized process of dependency updates, build validation, automated testing, and code reviews. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills are essential, as is experience working within established SDLC processes to deliver reliable, well-tested releases.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Lead and execute module migrations from the legacy platform to the new architecture, following the standardized migration process (dependency updates, build validation, automated testing, and code review).
- Develop and maintain Android application code in Kotlin, ensuring migrated modules meet performance, stability, and code quality standards within the new architecture.
- Diagnose and resolve migration exceptions — investigate modules that fail standard migration steps, identify root causes (dependency conflicts, deprecated APIs, build failures), and implement fixes or workarounds.
- Validate build and test integrity across migrated modules, ensuring automated test suites pass and rendering/UI behavior remains consistent with the legacy platform.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews for migration pull requests, enforcing architectural standards and best practices for the platform.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams owning the 100 dependent modules and integrated services to coordinate migration timelines, resolve integration issues, and minimize regressions.
- Document migration patterns and exceptions, contributing to internal runbooks/playbooks so future migrations (and other engineers) can move faster and hit fewer blockers.
- Monitor post-migration application health, using metrics/crash reporting to catch regressions introduced during the platform transition and drive fixes.
