Optomi, in partnership with our client, are seeking an experienced Video Management System Administrator to support the deployment, configuration, integration, and administration of enterprise-scale Avigilon ACC video management systems and IP camera environments.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in physical security technology, enterprise IT infrastructure, and video surveillance systems within a corporate enterprise environment.
1 year contract (W2) with possibility to extend - hybrid onsite 3 days/week Charlotte 28117.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, and administer Avigilon ACC 7/8 NVR servers and clients
• Install and maintain Avigilon and Axis IP cameras, including firmware updates and ONVIF integration
• Monitor system health, storage allocation, and performance across multiple servers and sites
• Configure recording rules, analytics, alarms, alerting, and detection zones
• Manage Active Directory integration, user roles, permissions, and secure access controls
• Troubleshoot camera, storage, server, and network-related video issues
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and vendor teams on integrations involving access control, intercom, SIP/IP audio, and related systems
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, deployment records, and tracking sheets
• Support cybersecurity best practices including patching, secure remote access, TLS certificates, and password policy enforcement
• Assist with evidence export, audit requirements, and chain-of-custody documentation
Required Qualifications:
• Experience operating in a corporate enterprise environment
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word required)
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
• Proficiency with Remote Desktop administration
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and LAN/WAN fundamentals
• Understanding of firewalls, NAT, IP routing, VLANs, QoS, and PoE switching
• Experience with Avigilon ACC architecture and deployment
• Experience configuring Avigilon and Axis IP cameras
• Knowledge of NVR setup, RAID, storage provisioning, and video retention policies
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for VMS environments
• Experience with third-party integrations including access control, alarms, intercoms, and SIP/IP speakers
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills
